For more than 45 years, I've been painting the places and scenes that talk to me. Old neighborhoods, country roads, quiet waterways, and familiar landscapes have always held a special attraction.
I'm drawn to the character of these places, but I don't necessarily paint them exactly as I find them. I may change the light, rearrange a few trees, or simplify a scene to create the painting I have in mind.
One of the greatest pleasures of being an artist is hearing from collectors who tell me that a painting reminds them of a special place or a cherished memory. That's a connection I treasure.
